Many thanks to LittleSable for inspiring me! :) And now, in no particular order, my five crushes in word form.
5. Legolas, from The Lord of the Rings. He's ageless, sensitive, strong, walks on snow, sings, speaks at least 3 languages, and is good with animals. What's not to love?
4. Bertie Wooster, from The Code of the Woosters. Sure, he's not the brightest bulb in the pack, but is amusing and willing to do almost anything for his friends and family. Plus, Jeeves is included in the package, and he's got enough brains for the both of them.
3. Javert, from Les Miserables. Yeah, this is a weirder choice, but he's dependable, capable, and has a very strong (if rigid) set of morals. I think this is more of a "he intrigues me" crush :)
2. Thomas Lang, from The Gun Seller. One of the most human heroes to come along in awhile. He's funny, smart, resourceful, and while he isn't perfect by any means, he genuinely wants to do the right thing. A "good guy" in every sense of the word. Plus: motorcycle.
1. Athos, from The Three Musketeers. Who can resist a brooding, tortured man with a dark past? Add in his paternal feelings for D'Artagnan, regal bearing, and good looks, and you have the classic literary man that every woman wants to fix.
