I'm a wee bit early writing this right at the stroke of midnight because I'm heading home for the summer tomorrow. Anyway, a happy happy birthday to Mr. Hugh Laurie! He is 49 today. Which makes him...yikes. 29 years older than me. Attraction knows no age, I guess. ;-)
I visited the U.K. this summer, and I loved it. I've had a ridiculous love of England since 2000, the first time I visited it. I would love to study abroad there some day. I just adore pretty much everything about it. The accents, the scenery, London, Green & Blacks chocolate, their (mostly) crappy TV, their sometimes silly, sometimes moving "stiff upper lip" mentality, Hugh Laurie (!), pounds, the way they spell words like "centre" and "realise", and on and on. I don't understand how a lot of Americans could dislike England and the English, or find them foolish. Whatever, fellow 'Mericans.
<<< The English do have a tendency to be needlessly wordy.
<<< I like that you can see Big Ben through the London Eye. Interesting trivia fact: The London Eye was engineered by all women.
<<< An engraving on the side of Westminster Abbey. Beautiful.
<<< I just love that the old cathedral is seen right in between two shopping centers (centres). (This is in Birmingham, in case you wondered.)
