Entertainment QotW: Back-Pedaling

Miley Cirus has issued an apology for a "racy" Vanity Fair photo shoot with legendary photographer Annie Liebovitz. Considering the photograph is just of Miley's back, do you think this apology is necessary?

It's kind of dumb to apologize regardless. I mean, the pictures weren't taken by accident, they were part of a heavily planned-out photo shoot.

I don't have an answer for whether or not she should've done the shoot, as I haven't seen the pictures.

Good points -- I don't know why apologies would be considered anyway. To whom? for what? Was she shown strangling a bunny or something?

THANK YOU! In those few words, you've expressed how I feel about it. You KNEW you were taking photographs, why apologize for it? Why not just say, "I love these photos. I think I look beautiful."

The only ones I think are a little gross are the ones she did with her dad. And what kind of parents leave a child at a photo shoot with only a grandmother and a teacher? What kind of supervision is that?

I did not think the pictures were anything to be embarrassed about. The photo of her with her back exposed, was not overtly sexy or anything. It was sweet and celebrated this little girls beauty, I thought. I think she only said these things because she was pressured to. They really were done in great taste.
